About this event
How is AI changing the way we work, learn, create, and relate to one another? What opportunities does it raise and where should its impact on human communities give us pause?
Unpacking AI: A Discussion Series is a monthly lunchtime conversation series inviting Seattle University students, faculty, and staff to explore the questions emerging as artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly prominent part of our lives. Each gathering will focus on a different topic or issue related to AI, such as safety, privacy, employment, ethical use, and beyond.
\\ nEvery session will begin with a five-minute introduction to the month's topic or question, followed by an open, informal discussion facilitated by Mark Chinen, Professor and Assistant Dean for AI Education and Practice at the School of Law. No AI expertise is required to participate in these discussions, just bring your lunch, your questions, and your perspective!
Specific session topics will be announced via email closer to the date of the session, allowing us to remain flexible in choosing topics that are timely and relevant in this rapidly changing environment.
This series is co-sponsored by the Seattle University AI Initiative and the School of Law.
